Paciugo Gelato Caffe in Hermosa Beach voted as Best Ice Cream in the 2009 Best of the Beach Easy Reader News Survey. Here's what they said:

It’s easy to fixate on the arcane flavors served at Paciugo gelato (www.paciugo.com) – like rose petal ice cream with chocolate chips, caramel and salt ice cream, or tiramisu ice cream that really does taste like tiramisu. The normal flavors (and they do have cherry, vanilla, and strawberry) are fantastic, too – made fresh daily without preservatives, and bursting with flavor. The ice cream is rich, soft, and naturally low in fat, and if you are really health-conscious or just prefer sorbet, they have a huge variety of flavors in that category, too. Mind you, despite the fact that they have over 200 flavors in their repertoire, not all are available every day – you may have to return several times to find the strawberry basil sorbet, but we’re betting you won’t mind.
